Revisiting 3 Values

Last year I wrote a blog at the end of the summer.  It was called "Resetting" and I talked about 3 values I wanted to focus on this year (school year).  Well, it's the end of the year (school year) and it's time to reflect.

This is what I wrote back in July, 2012.

Dedication: I will focus on being more dedicated this year, namely to my yoga practice that has yet to become an honest practice.  YET.

Reflection: Well, it has improved definitely, especially with handstand month of May/June, but I am still slacking.  I started attending classes regularly here in Condesa, but still, class got kyboshed if something else came up.  Dedication score 6/10.

Dedication needs more dedication.

Contribution:  Because I can.

Reflection:  I have applied to be an ambassador for the Africa Yoga Project and I can't express how happy this makes me.  Contribution is huge, and the more I take on opportunities to be of service, the more significance my life has.  Contribution score 9/10.

Contribution is cool.

Inspiration:  To be of and to create.

This year has been an interesting one.  I like my job, but I feel like I am having a greater impact on adults than I am on kids.  So, I have been focusing much of my energy on programs for teachers, and investing more in adults.  I proposed a new position for the school SY 2014-15; Inspirational coach, and I am looking forward to pursuing that.  Something is still missing though.  And I don't know what it is.  I really don't.  Guess it's time to ask. Inspiration score 8/10

I am going to keep these values flowing for a bit longer.
